Atlantic Seal - School of English and active leisure, Schull, County Cork, Ireland

"I had the pleasure of visiting Atlantic Seal last week who have been validated to run the Trinity CertTESOL since February 2003. Courses are run under the directorship of Pat Spruyt, ably assisted by Peter Spruyt and other colleagues. The school is located in a small and charming town where trainees would have the facilities to enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities - were they not kept so busy with their assignments.

Teaching practice is conducted with a range of students from among the recent incomers to that part of Ireland from, in particular, central and eastern European countries. Hospitality all round was excellent as was food, wine and other local brews ... your HoT was nearly drowned at sea for a third time this quarter, this time just off the Fastnet Rock ... but happily survived (again) ..

The Trinity CertTESOL is recognised for employment purposes by the Advisory Council for English Language Schools in Ireland (ACELS) along with other comparable certificate courses against the stringent guidelines set by ACELS in collaboration with the Irish Department of Education."

2008 CertTESOL dates:

  • March 24th - April 18th
  • June 2nd - 27th
  • September 22nd to Oct 16th
