Our aim is to make you feel like you’ve found ‘A home away from home’. We have a robust accommodation offering of Guesthouses, B&Bs, Hotels, Host Families, and the Atlantic School of English's own apartments.
Host Families
Our carefully selected host families are well known for their friendliness and the warm hospitality that they extend to our students. We know the families personally and many are good friends of Atlantic SEAL owners and management team. Some have hosted since the school started in 1999 and now even their children host for us. We appoint a Host Family Liaison Officer whose exclusive role is to ensure that our learners of all ages are ‘matched’ with a family where we know they will be happy. We carefully study the profile of student and family and ensure that a suitable match is made so everyone is happy. Comfortable and relaxed students who feel safe and cared for enjoy and make the most of their learning, leisure and living experience.
Standard Host Family: Live in the home of a family, a couple or a single adult and all ages enjoy breakfast and evening meal each day. Junior students receive a packed lunch too.
In addition, adult learners enjoy free snacks and drinks at mid morning break time at the town centre adult school and there are plenty of cafes/pubs/restaurants/supermarkets next door and students can also use our kitchen anytime too throughout the day.
Executive Host Family: live in the home of a family, a couple or a single adult and enjoy breakfast and evening meal each day. Our executive hosts are usually our most experienced hosts, usually in walking distance of the village, the school etc and provide high standard of comfort in the home. Some may offer a private bathroom to the student. But all have been hosts for a very long time and students return there year after year.
Self Catering: all the benefits of living in a home of a local couple or single adult but you can use the home's facilities and cook your own food. It's the most reasonably priced option so you are independent to eat in, eat out but still have all the interaction with your English speaking host(s) and use of all the home's facilities. Ideal if you like to cook, have a special diet or like the choice to eat out some evenings in one of our many local restaurants or pubs.

See below and contact us for best rates and service for our clients. Just ask us to arrange your stay. It can be on a Bed and Breakfast basis such as Nancy's B&B, or bed, breakfast and evening meal at the hotel. There is a mix of both at Rock Cottage or how about the town centre unique 'Eco-living experience' offered by Lady Charlotte's loft or Atlantic Apartments, which are also part of Atlantic SEAL.
