A two-week foundation course for initial trainees in TESOL & those dealing with Non Native English Speakers
The course includes an introduction to the structure, lexis and phonology of the English language, as well as one-to-one teaching, needs analysis and deciding on objectives for lessons. These are the areas which previous initial trainees have found most difficult and would give a helpful foundation to anyone thinking of going on to take a full TESOL certificate.
*The course can also 'stand alone' in its own right for many aspects of dealing with non native English speakers, as it provides valuable information, skills & experience for those thinkging of eventually:
a) being part of an Online English team
b) offering leisure activiites to non native English speakers, hosting students
c) offering 'Home English Language Programmes' (live and learn in a teacher's home)
d) If you have already done a TEFL/TESOL course and need to refresh your knowledge, regain confidence and gain practice.
d) Employing, working with, in relationships with non native English speakers
as it provides all participants with an awareness of what their non-native speaker clients need, want and already know.
